Compilation sleeve design for Union Square Music
The artwork brief was to come up with a very impactful strong sleeve that evokes the energy of the punk and new wave era. This album marks the 40th anniversary of the birth of the scene that changed music history forever. This brand new landmark collection brings together the very best of the Punk scene that exploded in the mid to late 70’s and the New Wave of edgy pop classics that followed. The Punk revolution was massively influential, the scene spawned countless new energetic bands then splintering into the more pop oriented New Wave but still with the irreverence and vigour of Punk.
The album includes 60 Punk and New Wave anthems including classic Punk from the Ramones , The Jam , The Stranglers , Sham 69 , The Undertones, and New Wave hits from Blondie, Talking Heads, Echo And The Bunnymen, and XTC.
